AlertOne asked to appear in special episode of The Young & the Restless

Recently Alert One received a call from the producers of the daytime award winning television show "The Young and the Restless" also known as "Y&R". Y&R producers needed expert advice about medical alarms for an important upcoming episode to be aired in late September this year.

Eric O'Connor, President of Alert One and Jim O'Connor, Educational Coordinator for Alert One went to California and spent an entire day on the set of Y&R during taping of scenes with the Alert One medical alarm.

Alert-1 Medical Alert Company Donates Services to Fall Victim

Margaret And Her DaughterTwo weeks after she suffered a fall outside her home and had to wait hours before being rescued by neighborhood children, Margaret McNamara got more good news. Alert One Services, Inc., has donated its equipment and services to McNamara after company officials read an article in the Sun Gazette about her plight, according to an employee for Alert One.

McNamara fell about 1:30 a.m. April 26th, when she went into the back yard to fetch her dog. On her way back in, she said, her knees gave out and she fell, hitting her head on the concrete step and injuring her shoulder. She lay on the stoop for six hours in light bed clothes as temperatures dropped into the mid 30's. In the morning three students heard her cries for help and called 911.

"My knees buckled on me and I fell and I could not get up," McNamara said. "I didn't know what to do. Now all I have to do is press a button to get help."

Don't let his age fool you. This eight year old boy is a true hero. Kenny Creager is credited with saving his grandmother's life by reacting quickly during a fire in his grandmother's home and pushing the Alert One medical alarm button.
